Journey with Zuki on her discovery and adventure experiencing an HBCU band for the very first time. This experience takes the readers on a fantasy-filled journey of what it feels like, sounds like, and looks like to be immersed into the culture of a Historically Black College/ University band. The reader learns a glimpse about HBCU’s and what they represent.
Our story finds 4 middle school students/soccer players, all strangers with their own unique challenges, in the woods during a strange storm. Anxiously, they all huddle together under the "safety" of a large, ancient tree. Unfortunately, or fortunately in this case, this turns out to be the exact place of the storm's lightning strike. Our characters now find themselves transformed with strange new powers that they decide to use to make a positive impact on the world.
